Arcova vs. LinkedIn Sales Navigator

LinkedIn Sales Navigator helps sellers find people, manage account lists, and prioritize opportunities using buyer intent, relationship intelligence, CRM data, and account alerts. Arcova also prioritizes accounts, but uses a customer-specific life science ICP and public trial, regulatory, funding, hiring, and conference evidence. They answer overlapping questions with different data.

Many life science BD teams use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find people, map relationships, manage account lists, and prioritize opportunities. Arcova does not own prioritization as a category: Sales Navigator's Account Hub explicitly supports it. Arcova adds a different evidence set, applying a customer-specific life science ICP and company-level readiness model to public trial, regulatory, funding, hiring, and conference activity.

What does LinkedIn Sales Navigator actually do?

Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's sales product, positioned as an AI-powered B2B sales tool for finding buyers and growing pipeline across LinkedIn's network of more than a billion members. Its core mechanics, as LinkedIn's official plan comparison presents them: lead and account search with more than 50 filters, saved lists with alerts on job changes and account activity, InMail messaging for reaching people outside your network, and TeamLink for surfacing warm introduction paths through colleagues. Recent versions add AI features, such as account and lead summaries and message drafting help, and the higher tiers add buyer intent signals based on engagement with your company's LinkedIn presence plus CRM integrations, with full CRM sync reserved for the top, quote-based tier. As of July 2026 it is sold as Core, Advanced, and Advanced Plus.

Sales Navigator also has genuine account-level prioritization. LinkedIn's official Account Hub documentation describes buyer intent, relationship intelligence, account alerts, and, on eligible plans, CRM opportunity data. It lists funding and acquisition, growth, and risk alerts as well as buyer-intent sorting. Its center of gravity remains LinkedIn, website engagement, relationship, and CRM evidence rather than the detailed life science public record.

What does Arcova add on top of Sales Navigator?

Arcova supplies a life science-specific account view alongside that existing prioritization. It scores each account on your list for ICP fit using attributes such as therapeutic area, modality, and development stage, and watches the life science public record, trial registrations and phase transitions, FDA decisions and designations, funding rounds, conference activity, and hiring, for the readiness signals that may justify timely research or outreach. The output is a ranked list with reasons attached: which accounts to work now, and what changed. The rep then takes that answer into Sales Navigator, where finding and reaching the right person is exactly the job it does best.

When is Sales Navigator alone enough?

Genuinely often. If your team sells into a short, stable, well-understood account list, where the open question is reaching the right people rather than choosing accounts, Sales Navigator covers the whole distance. The same is true when selling is relationship-led and TeamLink's warm-path surfacing is the real engine of the motion, or for an individual seller whose territory is small enough to hold in their head. Prioritization tooling earns its keep when the account universe outgrows what a team can judge account by account; below that line, adding a scoring layer solves a problem you do not have yet.

Using them together: combine two prioritization views. Arcova contributes life science ICP fit and public-record evidence; Sales Navigator contributes buyer intent, relationship paths, account alerts, and people discovery. Reps can compare the evidence before deciding where to spend attention and InMail.

Frequently asked questions

Does Arcova replace LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

No, and it is not built to. Sales Navigator is where a rep finds the right people, sees relationship paths, and reaches prospects through InMail; none of that is what Arcova does. Arcova decides which accounts deserve that effort in the first place: it scores a life science account list for fit against your ICP and for readiness based on public signals like trial milestones, regulatory decisions, and funding. Most teams that use Arcova keep Sales Navigator and simply point it at better targets.

Is Sales Navigator enough for life science sales on its own?

For some teams, yes. Sales Navigator can prioritize accounts through Account Hub, buyer intent, relationship intelligence, CRM opportunity data on eligible plans, and alerts including funding, acquisitions, growth, and risk. Arcova adds a life science-specific view by scoring public trial, regulatory, funding, hiring, and conference evidence against your ICP. Whether that additional evidence is useful depends on the motion.

How do teams use Arcova and Sales Navigator together?

In sequence. Arcova ranks the account list by fit and readiness and says why an account is hot this week; the rep then works the top of that list in Sales Navigator, finding the right function, checking warm paths, and reaching out with the signal as the opener. Arcova also does contact discovery, screening companies against your ICP before sourcing contacts, so contact effort and InMail credits go to accounts already worth working.

What does LinkedIn Sales Navigator cost?

As of July 2026, LinkedIn sells Sales Navigator in three tiers, Core, Advanced, and a quote-based Advanced Plus, with published pricing for Core and Advanced at roughly $120 and $160 per seat per month when billed monthly, less on annual billing. Check LinkedIn’s own plan comparison page for current figures, since tiers and pricing change. Arcova plans start free.
